Processing Scatter Cushion Orders

We select high quality designer brand fabrics to use on our scatter cushion covers collection. Fabrics are normally bulk ordered from designer houses from Australia, England and United States.

Each product is made to order!

We do not bulk sew or bulk order products from overseas. We sew each cover to perfection at our workshop in Queensland Australia.

Reasons for not sewing in bulk:

  1. Customers may want different backing and piping options
  2. Customers may want a custom size than standard sizing
  3. As we are only a small business, we don't have the storage area to keep the extra covers.

How long does orders take to sew?

When we receive an order, we normally take 7-10 business days to cut, sew and post your order. During busy seasons closer to Christmas, it may take few days longer for us to fulfill orders.

Why 7-10 business days you may ask?

We follow strict procedure to make sure each cover is created perfectly and high quality. We spent day 1-3 cutting all the fabric for the orders, normally we get 20-50 covers fortnightly. As you may have noticed, most of our covers are reversible, so we have at least 20 different types roll of fabric to cut out of. Then we spend a another day or so cutting all the piping for each product we sold. Tidying up each cover with piping cord, backing fabric, main front fabric in a neat pile

Day 6 we start putting on piping, making sure piping is using 1.5cm all around the front panel of the fabric. This task will take us about 2-3 days.

In between these tasks, we answer emails and hand in other custom upholstery orders to customers who walks into our workshop.

Then comes overlocking front panel and back panel, which is easiest part of the whole process.

Lastly we take about 2-3 days to put two panels together, making sure our sewing needle doesn't go onto piping cord and ruin our product. Paying attention to detail so end product is high quality. Then sewing on the zippers at last.

We spend about two hours or so turning the each cover and checking everything triple times to make sure before transferring all the products into our office for packing.

Booking in orders for postage and packing easily takes a day or half a day when my husband comes for help.

Seems like a hard job, why we still do it?

We love creating unique pieces that can't be find in other retailers.
